We met at city hall and upon hearing the fox signal(s) in the direction of the park just northwest of city hall, we drove to that park. There were 2 foxes on this hunt, the first was located at the far west portion of the park near a walking trail. The second was hidden near the south entrance of the park. Both foxes were hidden in the crutch of trees. We were told that the foxes were at eye level for this hunt. Next month you can expect different locations and hiding techniques.
There were 4 participants in this hunt - Reed, KG7FER, Roger, N7WTZ, Troy, N4HAM and Rulon, K7BTU. We really had a good time. We look forward to having more of you become involved in future events. Plans are to hold a fox hunt each month on the second Saturday of each month. For the months of November and December we will hold the fox hunts at this same park to build our numbers and help each other learn the art of the pursuit. Next year will bring an expanded format to different locations within our city council districts. We also hope to involve members from other clubs in the valley utilizing locations in their cities and areas. |
