Serving the Community
Taylorsville City is located in the center of the Salt Lake Valley and is home to over 60,000 residents.
Taylorsville's community pride is expressed in many different ways - well groomed yards, friendly hello's, but possibly the most apparent expression of community pride is volunteerism. We are partners in that volunteer spirit.
The Taylorsville Amateur Radio Net was organized to provide licensed operators in our community an opportunity to become acquainted with each other and use and test their radio equipment. It also provides an opportunity to practice our radio skills, learn from one another and develop our interest in the hobby.
We offer to the community our services in communication in the event of an emergency or other activities that can use our communication skills.
We have been working to coordinate HAM radio operators and pair them with elected city council officials and community emergency team coordinators, providing an additional level of communications in the event of an emergency.
We are also pleased to provided radio communication support for the "Taylorsville Dayzz" celebration and other city related activities.
